If you feel like you’re not getting the engagement you’d like, It’s not your fault because
You’ve probably never had any of this explained before.
By the end of this read, you’ll know what actually converts fans and how you can start doing it today.
Let’s get into it!
They won’t care until you care.
I used to blame it all on the algorithm.
When I first started posting beats in 2017, I was lucky to get 10 views in a month.
Obviously, the algorithm was showing me no love.
(Right??)
My first solution was the ‘type beats’ play. Just add the following keywords to your title and the “algorithm” will send you more traffic.
- Free.
- Type Beats.
- “Major artist name.”
It worked, but it was difficult to control (and impossible to predict).
While I searched for new growth methods, I shared what worked with my social media followers.
And something interesting happened.
My followership grew.
My views and streams on music increased as well.
And my sales for both kits and beats went up.
I didn't know then what changed, but I do now.
I made a difference for people by giving them something they needed (in this case, information on how to get more views on beats).
I cared enough to share something valuable.
In return, they cared enough to follow me, stream my music, and buy my products.
Since then, I've studied this phenomena so I can keep giving my fans what they need.
I focus on using everything God has blessed me with to make a difference in your life.
I work tirelessly to be a better friend to you, homie.
Today, I want to share with you how I use the internet to do this so that you can copy me and start serving dope people who will eventually become fans of your work.

3 ways to avoid giving girls the ick.
Gaining fans is a lot like pursuing a woman.
There are things you can do to turn her on to you, but also things that can turn her completely off.
Ideally, you want to do as much as you can of the former while totally avoiding the latter.
A woman turned on to you will;
- Care about all you have going on.
- Be your number 1 fan, no matter what your’e doing.
- Talk about how great your are to other people (and how lucky she is to have your focused attention).
- Willingly forgive your transgressions.
The way you turn a woman on to you is the same way you turn fans on to your brand.
- Demonstrate that your care through consistent presence (so they have no reason to doubt your commitment).
- Have a strong desire to make them feel happy (so they associate you with positive emotions).
- Think diligently about ways to enrich their lives (so they always view the relationship as beneficial).
1 - Demonstrate that your care through consistent presence.
I’ve noticed that guys complain a lot about texting girls.
Similarly, producers complain a lot about posting content to gain fans.
The thing is, I don’t think women want you to text/call them all day - that would get annoying for any sane person.
What they seem to want is proof of your undivided attention. And the best way to demonstrate that is through consistent presence.
Not a text chain of boring 1 to 3 word replies.
A few thoughtful messages a day letting her know she’s on your mind and that you can’t wait to be with her.
Your fans are the same way.
It’s less about how much you post, or even what you post at all.
At the core of it, they want to know that you’re committed to earning their attention.
You can’t be here one day, then gone the next 2 weeks, and expect anyone to give a flying fuck about what you’re doing.
You won't make it far with your girlfriend texting her only once a week - trust me, brother.
2 - Have a strong desire to make them feel happy.
This goes hand in hand with #1.
It’s not just the messaging.
And the amount of messaging is inconsequential.
What really matters is what you say to a woman (and the intent you have behind it).
“Hey, wyd” just isn’t the same as “hey, I saw a blue jay this morning while staring out the window at work. It was beautiful and reminded me of how naturally gorgeous you are - anyway, sorry for the randomness lol , can’t wait for date night later this week - bye <3”
Way different - and the key to getting fans it understanding that difference.
“Go listen to my new single” ain’t the same as ”I made this track to help me get through workouts because I want to lose 30 lbs by the end of the year - if you like working out or have fitness goals you wanna reach, then I made this one for you. Give it a listen and lmk if it get’s you To move!”
Your intent to make them feel pleasure (and achieve positive results) is the key.
3 - Think diligently about ways to enrich their lives.
From the intent to cause pleasure, we move to desire to enrich lives.
With a woman, there’s many ways to do this.
One of the best is just listening.
Listening gives them space to express things that they’ve had to bottle up all day/week/month/year (sometimes their entire lives).
It also gives you information you can use to solve their problems, thus further enriching their lives.
Whether they need you to fix the door hinge, take the trash out, or plan the next date night, you’ll find it out through listening with focused attention.
Similarly, your would-be-fans constantly voice what they want from you.
The internet is flooded with their pleas for your value, and you can find them almost anywhere.
- On your on social media and direct communication platforms.
- In the comment sections of other creators.
- In forums (Reddit, Discord, logs).
The key is LISTENING.

You’ll stand out more if you actually care.
That’s why authenticity in art always wins.
When you’re authentic and genuine you only attract those who resonate with you.
And it’s easy to care about people you resonate with.
You can ask them what they want and actually deliver it, because y'all are on the same page.
This makes you stand out over time for two reasons:
- Authenticity is an attractive trait in general, and
- People who like you will spread word about you (which makes you stand out from everyone else because testimony is always the best way to sell anything, even if you’re just selling them on the idea of being your fan).
Once you start standing out, it's a wrap. At that point, all you have to do is keep repeating the process and you’re green.
[March Madness Free Multi Kit]
So, here’s how you gain fans by standing out.
First, let’s list out the steps.
- Listen.
- Attract.
- Deliver.
It’s as simple as it looks, let me explain.
1 - Listen.
Remember, listening is one of the best ways to enrich a persons life. You give them outlet, and you learn what their problems are so you can provide solutions if you have them.
Listen to yourself first 🔑.
Ask yourself what kinds of fans you want. Ask yourself where you can find them.
There are so many places they can be:
- Discord.
- YouTube.
- Instagram.
- X.
- Threads.
- Reddit.
- Independent blogs and forums.
- Facebook groups.
- The physical creative spaces in your town (bars, studios, art galleries).
Once you know who they are and where to find them, plop down and just start listening.
The more you listen, the more you know about them.
The more you know about them, the better you can serve them through entertainment, inspiration, and education - this how you’ll attract them to your brand.
2 - Attract.
Figure out what your fans need and promise to give it to them.
Here’s an example that works for me.
I know that over half my fans are producers.
I read your comments lol, so I know that mixing is the thing that you usually wanna know the most about (at least, regarding actual beat making).
And I have a lot of fun making mixing tutorials that will you make better beats - this one is a good place to start if you’ve never watched before.
My kits are the same.
Whether its a free kit, like the March Madness or a paid kit like my Full Preset Bundle, my goal is to present something that encourages you to look deeper.
Each time I give you something good, you’re attracted closer to me because I bothered to take interest in your wants and needs (hopefully).
3 - Deliver.
It’s important to make good on the promise you used to attract fans.
Even if it’s as simple as a promise to post content consistently, it’s important to honor it (and communicate clearly when it changes).
Let’s go back to the analogy of dating for a moment.
It’d suck if, through speaking and acting, you promised your girlfriend that you’d be attentive, kind, and loving.
Only for you to turn out to be a slobbish douchebag that can’t even be bothered to text every once in a while.
It’s the same with your fans.
Don’t deliver bad art.
Don’t deliver bad content.
Don’t deliver bad products.
Make good on your promise and deliver enrichment.
That’s the key 🔑.
And if you can make good on the promises, you’ll earn loyalty over and over again.
If you have questions, hop in discord and ask me.
Blessings,
Chu
