Yoo homie,
I think every producer wants to make recurring income from their beats.
Looking back at last month, I got it in a few different ways;
- Publishing
- Royalties
- TV
- Radio
- Movies
- Beat leases
- YouTube Ad Rev (from 2 channels)
- Distrokid (for beats on my Spotify account)
- Kit sales
And Even though I've taking a stripped back approach to content, I'm still getting 2 million impressions per month across both my main YT channels,
B/c ppl have been connecting better with me sharing what's actually working in my career instead of trying to be a flashy influencer.
I'm just a dude making beats gang lol.
Anyways, If you wanna get paid to sit around and make beats all day like me, focus on three things 👇
1 - Create Monetization networks.
Things like YT, DSPs, Sync Libraries.
My recommendation is to grind up a YT channel so you can start getting paid for every beat you make.
DSP is also a good play.
2 - Make beats consistently.
A lot of producers forget that most of this is based on creating a sound that ppl gravitate towards.
Producers are just like artists; we just use synths instead of vocals.
So it's important to keep feeding the streets cause the streets gon feed your pockets 🧠.
3 - Register EVERYTHING.
There's a few tools you need to secure every dime, but the most important ones are PROs, Publishing arbitrators, Distributors, and whatever SoundExchange is.
Btw - If you thing this is something you want to take serious in on a deeper level, then you need to check out my “How To Get Your First 10,000 Views on Your Beats Channel” workshop.
